Evergram builds a “future messaging” platform that aggregates text, photos, and videos into attractive online albums for occasions including weddings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, retirements, showers, social causes, and living memorials. The service lets contributors leave messages for recipients to view later, and albums can be set public to the group or private to recipients. Evergram emphasizes time-shifted content as more meaningful than typical social posts and plans a freemium business model where album givers make micro-payments to monetize the product. The company is in beta and currently free to users, with an iOS app available in the App Store. Evergram was co-founded by Duncan Seay and Jeff Saden; Seay’s experience with a cancer diagnosis inspired the living memorial use case. Financially, Evergram has approximately $1 million in seed funding and is in the process of raising a larger round.
