Everlaw says it serves nine of the top ten class-action law firms and more than 65% of state Attorneys General, and it employs a 22-person team. Its highest-profile engagement to date involved support for plaintiffs’ attorneys in litigation related to General Motors’ 2014 ignition-switch recall. The company was bootstrapped initially with $1.5 million from friends and family as the team perfected its technology. Everlaw plans to expand beyond search and review into collaboration tools and a unified litigation platform that incorporates artificial intelligence and data visualization.
