Everseen develops computer-vision systems (ceiling-mounted cameras plus software) aimed at reducing retail shrinkage, including theft prevention at self-checkout and shelf out-of-stock detection. The platform processes video of hundreds of millions of products and tens of millions of customer interactions daily and can integrate with retailers’ order management systems to deliver near-real-time insights. The company reports deployments in over 6,000 stores and more than 80,000 checkout lines and counts over half of the world’s top 15 retailers as customers. Everseen has around 1,000 employees with headquarters in Cork and hubs in the U.S., Barcelona, India and Australia. Management says the business is being scaled against a “targeted” roadmap, and the company plans to expand its computer-vision solutions into adjacent sectors such as supply chain and manufacturing. The firm has faced accuracy and privacy scrutiny in the past (including a dispute and later settlement with Walmart) and states it defers to customers on data retention and is GDPR compliant.
