Everyday Health is a New York-based provider of online consumer health solutions and advertising-based services across a portfolio of more than 25 websites. Its network includes EverydayHealth.com, SparkPeople.com and WhatToExpect.com, covering lifestyle topics such as pregnancy, diet and fitness as well as in-depth medical content for condition prevention and management. The company held a $20M first close of a new financing round and said the capital will be used for strategic acquisitions. The press release indicates the initial $20M could increase to $50M. Following the financing, Everyday Health withdrew its registration statement for an initial public offering with the SEC. Investors named in the financing include Technology Crossover Ventures, Rho Ventures and Scale Venture Partners.
