Evidence is an open-source, code-first business intelligence platform that lets technical data teams build data products using SQL and Markdown. Each step from data sourcing to report definition is performed in code, enabling Git-based version control, governance and reuse. The product emphasizes software-engineering practices such as CI/CD, pull requests and testing so teams can iterate and maintain reports more reliably than with drag-and-drop tools. After an extended early-access period, Evidence is expanding commercially by opening Evidence Cloud via an invite program. The cloud offering includes a free starter tier (up to five viewer accounts), a team plan at $500 per month (up to 50 viewers) and customizable enterprise plans with SSO.
