Evident builds benchmarking and intelligence products, launching the Evident AI Index to rank the 23 largest banks in North America and Europe on AI competence. The Index is based on millions of public data points and deliberately avoids proprietary surveys to reduce self-reported bias. Its inaugural results show North American banks tending to lead, with JPMorgan Chase, Royal Bank of Canada, Citi, UBS and Wells Fargo among the top-ranked institutions. Alexandra Mousavizadeh, co-founder and CEO, said the Index is intended to bring transparency to banking AI maturity. The company plans to extend the methodology into insurance, health, energy, manufacturing and other sectors. Evident is backed by $3 million in funding from venture capital and angel investors.
