EXAI offers a platform that automatically transforms Facebook pages into fully functional websites and mobile-optimized sites, with a WYSIWYG drag-and-drop editor for customization. The company targets the large SMB market, noting over 60 million SMBs have Facebook pages but lack formal web or mobile presences. EXAI’s technology uses artificial intelligence to mass-produce unique, affordable sites and was spun off in 2012 by CEO Gal Moran after four years of development. The service is offered free with optional premium features and paid services. To date more than $15 million has been invested in developing EXAI’s technology, including a recent $3 million private investment. The company is based in Tel Aviv and employs about 50 people.
