Exco InTouch provides mobile and digital patient engagement solutions for pharmaceutical companies, focused on collecting information from patients in clinical trials and real‑world settings (ePRO). Founded in 2004 and based in Nottingham, UK, the company has approximately 75 staff and sales offices in the USA and Canada. It serves 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies and works in partnership with several global contract research organisations. Operationally, Exco has engaged over 900,000 patients across 88 countries and delivered more than 3.5 million compliant messages. The firm has also collated over five million data transactions in 70 languages. Exco received £3.2m in funding in a round led by Albion Ventures with participation from Scottish Equity Partners. Exco InTouch is a UK provider of mobile patient communication and management solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The company has developed a suite of patient-focused services delivered via cell-phone and internet technology, supporting patient recruitment, retention, compliance, electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO), eDiary and post-marketing studies. In 2011 it raised £3m in funding led by Scottish Equity Partners, which has taken a minority stake. Management said it will use the capital to invest in people, technology and infrastructure and to further enhance its mobile technology platform. Founded in 2004 by CEO Tim Davis and CTO Mike Hansen, the company is headed by Executive Chairman Neil Rotherham. Jan Rutherford of SEP joined as a non-executive director in conjunction with the investment.
