Exec is a mobile app that instantly dispatches people—called 'Execs'—to run errands for users. Unlike TaskRabbit, Exec does not require a bidding process and matches users instantly at a flat rate of $25 per hour. The service covers deliveries, chores, cleaning, art tasks and other errands. Co-founder Justin Kan, who previously founded Justin.tv, Twitch.tv and SocialCam, is leading the company. Exec is Y Combinator–backed and recently raised $3.3 million according to an SEC filing. The company says the funds will be used to build out the San Francisco Bay Area market.
