Overview
Exer Labs offers Exer Studio, a Mac app that uses edge-based AI and computer vision to capture movements via a laptop camera and provide real-time audio and visual coaching on form and repetitions. The platform tracks roughly 18–20 body points to generate performance scores, power-zone effort metrics, and leaderboards that can be shared with friends, coaches, and class participants. Coaches get a web-based interface to run virtual classes, see who needs help at a glance, and send interactions like high fives; the company also operates iOS apps (Perfect Plank) and a beta physical-therapy app. Exer’s apps are free for coaches during beta, and the company plans to adopt a software-as-a-service model. The Mac app currently supports macOS 10.13 or later and the company says it will expand to browsers and other devices soon. Financially, Exer announced a $2 million funding round and has raised $4.5 million to date.
