Overview
Exergyn develops solid-state shape memory alloy (SMA) thermal-management technology that replaces toxic refrigerants in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration (HVACR) and other systems. Its products target HVACR, automotive, aerospace and additional industries to materially reduce carbon emissions. The company says its efficient, affordable, emission-free solutions could eliminate refrigerant gases over the next 30 to 40 years. Exergyn plans to commercialize its technology through partnerships with large multinational corporations and to expand across new verticals including automotive and aerospace. The latest funding will support R&D in Dublin and Prague and enable the company to double its team from 33 to around 60 staff. Founded in 2012, Exergyn positions its SMA technology as a scalable cleantech alternative to traditional refrigerants.
