Exodos is developing ELS115, a topical formulation combining the approved pain drug ketoprofen with Apricus Biosciences’ NexACT drug‑delivery technology to enhance skin penetration using biodegradable excipients. The company aims to provide localized pain relief as an alternative to oral NSAIDs for patients who experience gastrointestinal or systemic side effects. Exodos has met with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and expects to be ready to file an investigational new drug (IND) application by mid next year.
