Exos Medical designs and manufactures waterproof, adjustable, X‑ray‑friendly polymer casts and splints, including thumb and forearm splints and wrist and arm braces. Its material is a polymer layered with foam that produces a lightweight, moldable product allowing doctors to custom‑fit each cast and splint. The company is a joint venture with Enova Medical Technologies in St. Paul, Minn., and Product Innovations in Aspen, Colo. Exos’s products have been used by athletes such as Carson Palmer, Lindsey Vonn and Tony Pike.
