Ezeebit is an FSCA-regulated fintech building “bridge infrastructure” that converts consumer-held crypto into spendable money for merchants in South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria. Its platform allows retailers to accept crypto at the point of sale, settles transactions instantly in stablecoins, and pays out the merchant in local currency on the next business day. The company positions stablecoins as a cheaper, faster alternative for both cross-border remittances and domestic card or mobile-money payments. Ezeebit has already processed more than 30,000 transactions and signed several well-known retail brands as early adopters. Management believes that growing merchant acceptance will spur consumer stable-coin usage, creating a reinforcing liquidity loop. Key execution priorities include expanding partnerships with banks, PSPs, and telcos while maintaining compliance across three different regulatory regimes. The seed funding will be used to accelerate product development and scale merchant onboarding.
