Faactopi
9 Rue des Cuirassiers, Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 69003, France
Overview
Faactopi builds an adaptive reconfigurable manufacturing system (AARMS) that models assembly-line configurations, creates a digital twin of the factory, and continuously optimizes production planning; the AARMS technology is proprietary and patent-pending. The company operates under a Manufacturing-as-a-Service model that lets customers industrialize without upfront capital investment and has already worked with clients including Exotrail, Luniwave, and Stereolabs. Founded by Saadia Ajana and Bertrand Joubert, both former Symbio employees, Faactopi recently moved into 1,000 m² of workshops at Usin Lyon Parilly in Vénissieux and currently employs 17 people with plans to reach 25 by end-2026. Faactopi has development partnerships with Dassault Systèmes and the LIMOS laboratory (CNRS). Financially, it has generated nearly €1 million in revenue over three years and targets €4 million in 2027 and €10 million in 2028, the latter projected as the point of profitability. The company plans to accelerate R&D, hire additional staff, and equip its factory following the recent financing, and is eyeing longer-term market expansion into agroalimentaire, cosmetics, and biotechnologies with contacts in Morocco and Japan.
