Overview
Fable is a New York-based web-based motion design platform for creators. Led by CEO Chris Boardman, the platform combines a user-friendly interface with collaboration tools to let teams manage, create, and review projects across the entire creative process. Fable positions itself to empower all creators with access and opportunities to tell stories with motion. The company intends to use the funds from its Series A to expand its team and grow its product offering. It recently raised $15M in a Series A led by Redpoint Ventures. Annie Kadavy of Redpoint will join the board in conjunction with the financing. Fable builds a full-stack, browser-native motion design platform that removes the need for high-spec computers and centralizes assets and team collaboration. The company launched a beta in July 2020 and has been incrementally onboarding users, with designer reaction described as highly positive. Fable says its platform targets over 45 million creative professionals and over 300 million indie creators. It is developing advanced effects, no-code interactivity and AI-based design features to serve both non-designers and professional teams. The company plans to continue product development and scale its user base using the new funding. Financially, Fable has raised $4.4M in the announced Series Seed and $7.4M in total to date.
