Fabri
200 Berkeley St 19th Floor, Boston, MA, 02116, United States
Overview
Fabri, founded in 2022 as an MIT spinout and led by CEO Steven Davis, builds automated foundries that use 3D-printed wax molds, robotics, and bespoke software and machine learning to reduce labor and rework in investment casting. The company began with aluminum parts and has expanded into copper and steel alloys, and it reports shipping parts to customers including Lockheed Martin and RTX. Fabri has collaborated with NASA on casting research and currently operates an R&D foundry capable of producing hundreds to maybe thousands of parts. Management plans to scale capacity by opening additional foundries — targeting a second facility to reach full production by 2027 and aiming to open a new foundry each year. Financially, Fabri has raised $13.5M total (a $5M seed in Dec 2024 plus prior debt and equity) and is preparing for a Series A in the next three to six months.
