Fabric provides an AI-powered workspace and home for a user's information, allowing uploads of files, links, bookmarks and in-app notes. Users can search or ask the Fabric Assistant natural-language questions to find documents, including identifying text inside images. The product today supports text documents, images, bookmarks and links, with audio and video support and additional cloud integrations (Google Drive, Notion, Dropbox) planned. Its stack includes OpenAI's Whisper, models from Anthropic and a proprietary "unwrap engine" that normalizes file types for processing. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; the company has not yet completed a security audit but plans to do so as it adds integrations. Fabric targets prosumers—researchers, creatives and power users—offers web, extension, desktop and mobile clients, has been tested by thousands of users, and sells multi-tier plans from $6/month (500GB) to $50/month (4TB).
