Fabrick is an Italian open finance company that builds embedded finance and payments capabilities for corporates. The firm has positioned payments as a core asset of its platform and recently announced a strategic embedded finance partnership with Mastercard. As part of the transaction Mastercard acquired a minority stake in Fabrick within a €40 million raise in which other investors also joined the shareholding. Fabrick operates in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and the UK and recently acquired UK payments platform Judopay as part of its market expansion strategy. The company says the new funding will be used to support consolidation in Italy, invest in products and services, scale infrastructure and expand into other European markets. Management frames the tie-up with Mastercard as a way to strengthen international presence and accelerate growth in open and embedded finance.
