FACTORY X develops an "inventory strategy model" that structures production, financial, and risk data to calculate inventory levels that maximize value within a budget. During its pre-seed phase it ran proofs of concept with major automotive parts makers, and some of those partners are preparing for full deployment. The company has validated its approach with an Excel-plus-optimization-engine prototype but says a scalable product is still under development. FACTORY X is based in Aichi, Japan, and remains at an early stage of commercialization. It faces the challenge of convincing large manufacturers to change ingrained inventory philosophies and of competing with established supply chain software vendors. The recent seed raise should help the company advance its product and convert PoC traction into repeatable customer deployments.
