Overview
Fairbrics, founded in 2019 and based in Paris, has developed a patented technology platform that converts CO2 emissions into polyester fibers. Its core product is CO2-based polyester produced via a circular approach intended to replace fossil-based polyester in textiles. The technology has been demonstrated at lab scale and the company has secured strategic partnerships with brands including H&M, On-Running and Aigle. Fairbrics plans to upscale with a 100 kg/day pilot line by 2024 and a 1 ton/day demo plant by 2026. Target markets include clothing, sports equipment, automotive and packaging as the company aims to reduce the textile industry’s carbon footprint. The company has also won several national and international innovation awards and intends to expand its platform to additional sectors that use polyester.
