Fairbrics has developed a patented technology platform that converts CO2 emissions into high-value polyester fibers for textiles and other polyester-using industries. The company targets sectors where polyester is a main material, including clothing, sports equipment, automotive and packaging. Fairbrics has secured partnerships with major fashion brands such as H&M, On-Running and Aigle. It raised a combined €22M to bring its solution to market and to scale its process. The funds will support upscaling to a pilot line of 100 kg/day by 2024 and a 1 ton/day demo plant by 2026. The company is coordinating a consortium and includes an educational component to develop training resources on CO2 valorization for professionals and students; Benoît Illy is Cofounder and CEO.
