DailyD is a group-buying deals aggregator that compiles local discounts and promotions. The company was started by Matt Coffin (founder of LowerMyBills) and Doug Hirsch (founder of DailyStrength). It aggregates deals in 53 cities and also offers exclusive family deals in Los Angeles. TechCrunch reports the company has closed a $5 million financing. A Form D SEC filing and coverage by LA Tech blog Socal Tech and Yipit characterize the round as a Series A. TechCrunch said it contacted DailyD for more information and would update the post when it hears back.
