Famoco is a Paris-based provider of Android-based transactional solutions led by co-founder and CEO Lionel Baraban. Its FX Series are remotely managed devices that combine smart card security with a secure version of Android, and the platform is compatible with selected Android devices such as Samsung tablets. The platform enables businesses to deploy and remotely manage business-critical applications across different device types. The company has deployed more than 100,000 devices in over 30 countries and works with international groups including Orange, Gemalto, Alipay, PayPal and AccorHotels. Famoco also maintains offices in Bruxelles, New Delhi and Hong Kong. It raised €11m to recruit new people, open offices across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the USA and Asia, and expand adoption of its solutions.
