Fancision is a platform that aims to improve participation and connection between sports fans and teams using gamification and other interactive features. Its product includes mobile apps and a social media presence designed to increase traffic, exposure and expand teams' user bases. The platform is oriented to help teams drive fan loyalty and monetize parts of their audience. Fancision is based in Sevilla and its cofounder and CEO is Alejandro Echevarría. In September 2020 it was selected for QatarSportsTech's accelerator and will receive a $150,000 investment as part of a three-month in-person program in Doha running from late September to December 2020. The company’s valuation at the time was reported at $2.15 million, and it had previously been selected by Andalucía Open Future, which provided mentorship, experience and contacts.
