Faqbot develops conversational agents that import a website’s existing FAQ and turn it into a chatbot to provide concise answers. The company was founded by French teenager Mathis André (now 17) with cofounder Denny Wong; André is based in Brussels. Faqbot’s MVP was built in three months and initially shipped as an offline product, with about ten chatbot sales to early customers. The startup is developing a fully online version 2 and is adding commerce features to enable purchases inside chat; its sales feature has been deployed with Belgian app maker Formyfit. Visadesk, a division of Belgian delivery business ASX-IBECO, is using Faqbot for visa-application questions. The team emphasizes accuracy and continual iteration as machine-learning limits require manual ticketing and database-driven answer generation.
