Farmforce
Tordenskiolds gate 2, Oslo, 0160, Norway
Overview
Farmforce provides a SaaS platform that digitizes crop and production data from smallholder farmers to enable sustainable agriculture and traceability. Its solution is offered at no cost to farmers and is designed to help raise productivity and yields in developing countries. The platform operates in over 30 countries and holds data on more than 930,000 farmers, and counts large global customers such as Cargill. Farmforce plans to deepen commercial collaborations with strategic customers and investors — for example, NorgesGruppen will pilot the platform for its UNIL brand houses to improve data quality and transparency across the food value chain. Financially, the company recently completed an equity raise that values it at NOK 120 million post-money and has received additional support from Innovasjon Norge in the form of loans and guarantees. The business was driven forward by the late Knut Jørstad and is currently majority‑owned by his surviving family, with Grethe Viksaas as the largest owner.
