Farmitoo operates a Paris-based online marketplace that brings together offerings from Europe’s largest agricultural equipment manufacturers and suppliers. The platform lists over 150,000 products from more than 350 brands, allowing farmers to browse and purchase equipment online. More than 25,000 farmers have used Farmitoo, and 45% of manufacturers on the platform reported making first-time sales in a new country. The company says direct delivery to the farm gate can save farmers up to two days of travel per month and that it provides personalized technical advice similar to physical stores. Farmitoo currently operates in France, Austria, Belgium, Germany and Italy and plans to launch in Spain and the Netherlands by the end of the year. The team stands at 40 staff and the company will use fresh capital to expand internationally and hire additional personnel. Farmitoo cites industry data showing the average farmer spends €10,000 annually buying equipment online and that 70% of French respondents shop for equipment online.
