Overview
Farow, formerly known as Epihunter, is a Hasselt-based startup that combines a brain-wave-reading EEG headband with an AI-driven software platform to improve diagnosis and daily management of neurological disorders such as epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. Its flagship system can detect absence seizures in real time, trigger immediate visual alerts, and record data for later review by patients, caregivers, and neurologists. The technology is the product of eight years of research and has been internationally validated, with hundreds of patients already using it. While the Epihunter name is retained for epilepsy solutions, the company is launching a new line called Neurovado for Parkinson’s applications. With fresh capital, Farow plans to extend its platform to other complex neurological conditions, including non-convulsive status epilepticus and myoclonic seizures. Founder Tim Buckinx states the goal is to help physicians refine diagnoses and support the development of new digital therapies. Beyond mentioning its user base of hundreds, the company has not disclosed additional operating metrics such as revenue.
