FastBeetle is a logistics tech platform that began as an online courier service to provide last-mile delivery in Kashmir, launching its app on July 25, 2019. It serves more than 800 micro-entrepreneurs and SMEs—mostly women—and expanded during the COVID-19 lockdown to serve about 80,000 customers by delivering medicines, cylinders and essentials. The platform covers around 19,000 pin codes across Kashmir and operates in areas not serviced by major e-commerce players. The founders, Sheikh Samiullah and Abid Rashid, restarted operations over limited connectivity and were selected in 2020 for an incubation programme run by ALSiSAR Impact. FastBeetle plans phased expansion into several rural districts, including parts of Jammu, and intends to use its recent funding to grow operations.
