Fastic offers a mobile app that guides users through intermittent fasting, education on nutrition, habit tracking, mindfulness and fitness in one product. The app is grounded in the science of autophagy popularized by Yoshinori Ohsumi’s Nobel-winning research and is positioned as a health-focused alternative to traditional diet plans. Since its launch in April 2019 the app has been downloaded over 6 million times, and in August U.S. downloads surpassed German downloads for the first time. The company reports U.S. growth is threefold that of Europe. The team is distributed across Berlin, Kiev, London, Zurich and Barcelona. Fastic plans to use new funding to accelerate U.S. expansion and further internationalize the product.
