Fatigue Science

200 - 110 W Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6B 1G8, Canada

Overview

Fatigue Science makes the Readiband, a wrist-worn device with a 3D accelerometer and a 60-day battery that measures sleep and movement and is water- and pressure-resistant. The company runs sleep data through a biomathematical model developed by the U.S. Military to predict human effectiveness and reaction time, achieving roughly 93% of the accuracy of a hospital sleep lab. Its Team Platform aggregates individual sleep data into a dashboard coaches and doctors use to inform training, scheduling and recovery decisions. Professional sports teams—including the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, New York Giants, Dallas Mavericks and the U.S. Men’s National Soccer team—use the system, and Fatigue Science has an enterprise partnership with Caterpillar to reduce operator fatigue risks. The company plans to open its API to allow integration of other sensor data for research and correlation. Fatigue Science is cash-flow positive and is taking its time before raising a Series A.
