Feetz has developed a proprietary full-stack platform that combines 3D printing manufacturing, responsive materials and customizable biomechanics software to produce tailor-made shoes. Customers scan their feet at home using the Feetz App (one piece of paper and three photos per foot), choose designs and colors, and receive custom-fit shoes within seven days. The company operates a micro-manufacturing center in Chattanooga, TN. Feetz plans to use recent funding to launch its platform directly to consumers later in the year. The business closed a $1.25M seed round to support that launch. Lucy Beard founded Feetz in December 2013 and serves as CEO.
