Fellow Pay is an Aarhus-based Danish fintech that provides a payment solution to ensure SMEs are paid fairly and on time. Its product enables small businesses to have invoices paid the same day they are issued, addressing lengthy customer payment terms of up to 90 days. Founded in 2017 by Christian Thisted and Jacob Pedersen, the company currently operates in nine countries and says it can operate across 46 countries. It has gained traction and customer satisfaction and won the 2020 Finance Forward fintech competition. The startup has raised an additional €325k, bringing total pre-seed funding to €2.5 million. Fellow Pay plans to use the new funding to expand into new markets and further develop its product to help SMEs across Europe obtain fairer payment terms.
