FIAT Products manufactures terrazzo mop basins, shower floors, laundry tubs and other light commercial plumbing fixtures and occupies a 268,000 sq. ft. facility in Somerset, Kentucky. The company is described as the market leader in the U.S. light commercial plumbing product space and supplies hotels, schools, hospitals, and other institutional and residential markets. Advantage Capital invested $7.5 million to finance an acquisition intended to transition the company to American ownership and enable expansion in Somerset. Management expects the expansion to create at least 63 local positions over the next three years and to support product and community growth. The financing was provided in connection with the Kentucky New Markets Development Program and Advantage Capital said its flexible terms ensured the acquisition could be executed. FIAT Products is noted in the release as being owned by GWBD Operations, which also owns PRIER Products, Inc. and Stern-Williams, LLC.
