Fidu is an Argentina-based edtech startup building a full-stack operating system for Latin American private schools to manage finances, administration, communication and academic workflows. Its app lets school administrators send tuition invoices and pay slips to parents and accept payments by phone, and it provides a custom communication app for families. Fidu is developing technology to better “know the customers of the school” to assess revenue stability and plans to offer guaranteed revenue-financing products to institutions. Those revenue-financing products are currently being piloted in Mexico City and Bogota. The company says it already serves more than 1,000 schools across Latin America and aims for a fast, 48-hour setup so schools can replace paper, WhatsApp and email workflows. Fidu targets reducing administrative burden at schools that commonly spend over 70% of administrators’ time on bureaucratic tasks.
