Financial News Systems builds specialized AI models that extract news and data from financial press releases and regulatory filings and deliver that information in real time to professional investors and analysts. The company covers about 9,000 companies across the United States, Canada and Europe and publishes without human journalists involved, describing its output as delivered with "zero latency." FNS has established commercial partnerships with Dow Jones and FactSet. Founded in 2024 by Gelu Sulugiuc and Nicolai Pedersen, the team previously built PLX AI, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2022. With the new funding, FNS plans to expand its model suite to cover IPOs, insider trading, macroeconomic statistics, central bank decisions and fundamentals data to broaden its product offering.
