Finanzcheck operates a consumer loans marketplace that lets users submit personal data once and uses in-house big-data matching algorithms to pre-score clients and preselect suitable banks. The platform compares up to 35 bank and P2P lenders’ scorecards and, via deep real-time integrations with banks’ IT, enables lenders to place offers in real time. A recommendation engine evaluates those offers and selects the best one for the customer, and the company says this increases matchability from roughly 40% to over 85%. Founder and CEO Moritz Thiele describes the product as a way to simplify and speed up a previously complex loan-shopping process. Founded in 2012, Finanzcheck has brokered more than €1.3 billion in consumer loans since inception. The company plans to use new capital to consolidate its claimed leadership in Germany’s €70 billion consumer loan market, accelerate growth and roll out new products.
