Finch Buildings develops a modular, circular platform of solid-wood (CLT) building modules that can be composed from a library of standard components for apartment complexes, offices, hotels and other multi-storey projects. Its system supports buildings up to sixteen storeys and modules are assembled in the Netherlands by De Groot Vroomshoop (part of Volker Wessels). Founded in 2014, the company says its factory-produced modules reduce waste, speed delivery, and enable off-site, CO2-positive construction. Finch has realised approximately 1,000 modules in the Netherlands, including modules planned for 2021. The company makes its innovations available to architects and developers through the Finch Buildings system platform to accelerate market adoption. With new capital, Finch plans to accelerate platform development and expand its network beyond the Netherlands.
