Findyr operates a platform that lets multinationals, marketers, agencies and media companies request and receive hyper-local micro data and content from regions around the world. The service functions as a peer-to-peer labor marketplace—acting like an “offline search engine”—where users task local contributors (“Findyrs”) to collect data, perform surveys, and capture custom photos and videos. Requests are sourced from more than 100 countries and are typically fulfilled by local citizens who have downloaded the Findyr app, usually within 48 hours. The company launched in beta in 2014 and is led by CEO and founder Anthony Vinci. Financially, Findyr has closed an additional funding round and has raised $2.5M in total.
