Finfrog is a Paris-based fintech that offers short-term micro-loans positioned as a lower-cost, responsible alternative to bank overdrafts. Since launching in 2016, the startup has supported more than 60,000 customers. It serves workers typically underserved by banks — freelancers, temporary workers, students — and has B2B distribution through partnerships with platforms such as Uber Eats, Frichti, Brigad, Side, Iziwork and Gojob. Finfrog uses proprietary machine learning and plans further R&D to develop AI algorithms for risk modeling to expand lending eligibility. The company also plans product improvements including personalized budget notifications to warn of impending overdrafts and faster instant-funding functionality currently in beta.
