The platform is built on a cryptographic ledger designed to enable governance, security and auditability for transactions across blockchains. The company positions its technology to help companies access capital through digital currencies and aims to become an integrated global securities exchange. Finhaven is working with securities regulators to secure necessary approvals and is pursuing partnerships with investment dealers and exchanges planning to transition onto the platform. The company says recent funding will be used to support product and business development. CEO DH Kim has emphasized that security tokens represent the future of capital markets. Finhaven has launched an equity and debt issuance platform after raising $1.3 million in seed funding. The platform issues security tokens using proprietary code and smart contracts and creates a unique token for each issuer. Issuance is built on the Ethereum blockchain, while a Bitcoin-powered remittance layer lets investors accumulate Bitcoin as returns; the product also includes secure portfolio wallets and an audit layer logging transactions. Finhaven is working with securities regulators to secure necessary approvals and aims to operate as an end-to-end solution for issuing, investing in, and trading compliant security tokens. The company is partnering with TIMIA Capital to build a cryptocurrency-based investment platform and is already enabling tokenized bond issuances (two issuers collectively raising roughly $19.5M CAD, including Kenya-based 4G Capital). Management positions tokenized equity and bonds as a way to expand market access, increase liquidity, and reduce transaction costs in capital markets.
