Finvest

San Francisco, CA, United States

Overview

Finvest builds a mobile-first experience to purchase, manage and sell U.S. Treasury Bills via a brokerage partner. Founder Shivam Bharuka began working on Finvest in 2023 after pivoting from a logistics startup and the company participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2023 cohort. The app streamlines onboarding by allowing users to add a bank account, tee up deposits during brokerage verification, and execute trades once accounts are approved. Finvest charges a flat management fee of 0.03% per month on the average daily market value of Treasury assets and offers a high-yield cash management account yielding 4.4%. Since launching in December, the company reported roughly $1 million in deposits but declined to disclose download or user counts. The team plans to use funding to expand engineering and to add other asset classes such as corporate and municipal bonds, and to pursue international launches.
