Overview
Fitso is a full-stack sports facilities provider that operates and expands sports venues with a focus on indoor all-weather swimming pools. The company has raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round. Investors include SRI Capital, Sprout Capital, IPV Capital, Pankaj Chaddah (Co-founder, Zomato) and Ashish Gupta (Co-founder, Helion Venture Partners). Fitso will use the proceeds to increase the number of indoor all-weather swimming pools and to support expansion and operations. The company was started in August 2015. In January 2018, Fitso raised $200,000 in an angel funding round. Fitso provides professional guidance for weight loss, weight gain and other fitness activities through an app where users can hire personal coaches (services start at ₹500 per month). Founded three months ago by IIT‑Delhi alumni Saurabh Aggarwal, Naman Sharma and Rahool Sureka, the company aims to make fitness accessible and affordable without gym memberships or expensive equipment. With this round, Fitso plans to invest in product development, expand its team, and build a more user-friendly app. It also intends to expand offline training classes for running, swimming and triathlon in Delhi‑NCR and recruit a team of coaches for personal training. Rahool Sureka says the company has broken even and is "hitting the route of profitability," and it provides personal fitness and nutrition training to users across India.
