Fixico is an Amsterdam-based online platform for car damage repair operating in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and South Africa. It began as a two-sided marketplace between consumers and body shops and has evolved into an end-to-end platform serving fleet owners and insurers. The company works with a network of more than 2,000 repair shops. Fleet and insurance partners use Fixico as an intelligent repair tendering and steering mechanism to lower costs and cycle times and to gain real-time insights. CEO Derk Roodhuyzen de Vries describes the service as an innovative and fully digital way to handle car damage repairs. Financially, Fixico has been fundraising to support its growth and platform expansion. Fixico operates an online platform that allows consumers to find, compare, select and book repair services for car damage across the Netherlands. The company was founded in 2013 by Mark van Laar and Derk Roodhuyzen and is based in Amsterdam. Fixico serves both consumer and business customers through its marketplace. It raised €2m in a recent funding round led by Orange Growth Capital with participation from existing investors. The company has raised €2.6m in total funding to date. Fixico intends to use the new funds to expand operations in both the consumer and business markets.
