Fixie builds an enterprise-focused platform-as-a-service of LLM-powered agents that integrate language models with an organization’s data, systems and workflows. Its agents can interact with databases, APIs (e.g., GitHub), productivity tools (e.g., Google Calendar) and public data sources to generate and manipulate text and images. The platform is model- and provider-agnostic (supports GPT-4 out of the box) and lets customers host agents on their own infrastructure or use custom models. Fixie emphasizes fine-tuning existing models for agents rather than training from scratch, and constrains model actions to reduce risk and cost. It has around 5,000 users in an early access program and will launch publicly in the coming days, free for personal use. The company plans to grow its eight-person team to about 20 by the end of the year and will focus on customer acquisition.
