Flashgap
Los Angeles, CA, United States
Overview
Flashgap is a time-delayed photo-sharing app inspired by the movie The Hangover that lets users create event albums, invite contributors, and keeps photos hidden until midday the next day. The app is available on iOS and Android and supports collaborative albums tied to parties, weddings, concerts and other events. Flashgap has added privacy features such as closed albums, the ability to comment on photos, and options to connect groups via third-party social and messaging platforms. The startup reports that six months after launching in the U.K., more than 2 million photos and videos have been uploaded. Flashgap plans to use new funding to launch in the U.S., recruit a U.S.-based team, and expand the app’s features.
