Founded in October 2023 and based in Paris, FlexAI is building a cloud service that abstracts away the complexity of sourcing and managing AI compute. Its platform connects users to “virtual heterogeneous compute,” automatically routing workloads to whichever GPU or accelerator—Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Graphcore, Cerebras, or others—best fits the developer’s cost, speed, and reliability requirements. The service handles infrastructure setup, failure recovery, and scaling, so customers only focus on building, training, and running models while paying strictly for usage. FlexAI is currently testing the product with a handful of beta customers and plans a full commercial launch later in 2024. Longer term, the company aims to finance and build its own data centers, potentially using GPUs as collateral for debt rather than diluting equity. The founding team brings deep semiconductor and systems experience, with CEO Brijesh Tripathi (ex-Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, Intel AXG) and CTO Dali Kilani (ex-Nvidia, Zynga, Lifen). To date, FlexAI has raised €28.5 million ($30 million) in seed funding to accelerate product development and market entry.
