Flexus Biosciences develops small-molecule cancer immunotherapies targeting regulatory T cells to reverse tumor immunosuppression. The company was incubated by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and closed a Series A in October 2013. Flexus intends to use the new funding to advance its immunotherapy pipeline and to select a clinical candidate from its IDO-1 inhibitor program in early 2015. The Series B financing provides $38M of capital to support those efforts. Leadership includes CEO Terry Rosen and a senior scientific team. Alexander Rudensky was appointed chairman of its Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board.
