Flick builds an AI-native film production platform designed to combine generative models with real film production through non-linear workflows and filmic control features. The product targets filmmakers who want aesthetic control, iterative creative tools and the ability to direct AI-generated films without relying on raw prompting. Flick is led by co-founders Zoey Zhang, an award-winning filmmaker, and Ray Wang, a founding engineer of Instagram Stories. The company runs the Flick Filmmaker Residency to support emerging AI-native filmmakers; the first cohort debuts with over 10 AI-based short films shown at festivals including Cinequest, MIT and the Omni AI Film Festival. Flick plans to use its recent seed financing to accelerate product development, expand core creative tools, and grow its filmmaker community.
